Study Hard, Party Harder

This past week was midterm, so I’ve been studying like crazy. My exam covered the 500+ new characters and countless grammar structures we’ve learned this semester, plus the two years of Chinese language knowledge I have from before this semester. Needless to say, there was a lot to study; this week was very dull in comparison to other weeks because it was just study, study, study.

But last night? Last night, since the exam was over, my friends and I all went out and partied the night away like nobody’s business. It wasn’t one of the wildest nights we’ve had, but since everyone had been shut up all week studying, we all wanted to just have a good time. And have a good time we did – I didn’t get back to my apartment until 5a.m. Not to mention that right now, it’s almost 2p.m. Saturday afternoon and I have yet to get out of bed.

“Study hard, party harder” is definitely a mentality that applies to my life as an abroad student!
