Working Ahead
Apr. 15th, 2010 07:37 amBetween now and April 28, I have three final papers due, all of which are supposed to be 10 pages each, double-spaced. They are each about wildly different things:
- The first one is about Tiger Woods. I have to analyze his current PR predicament (and let’s face it, his PR strategies have sucked so far) and write a strategic plan that would help improve his image and bring him back on top of the golfing world and put his sex scandal behind him… no easy feat.
- The second one is an analysis of the communication models and theories used in Dove’s Campaign for Real Beauty. I need to discuss how these models/theories were effective and what, if anything, could have been done to make the campaign more effective.
- The third one is a creative writing assignment. It’s a prose piece. I am still figuring out the finer details, but I loosely based it off an incident in my life, although like most fictional pieces based on real life, it’s already become more fiction than non-fiction.
Needless to say, combined with my upcoming exams, I have my work cut out for me. However, I have surprised even myself by being able to work ahead! This time last year, I was suffering from a bad case of procrastination. So far, procrastination hasn’t kicked in yet. I’m halfway through my creative writing piece and my Tiger Woods paper, and I have some research compiled for my Campaign for Real Beauty paper. Can I get some applause, anyone?
