A Movie Portrayal of Me
Mar. 1st, 2009 09:00 amWhen I was little, one of the many things I aspired to be was an actress. Now, I no longer have that in mind as a potential career, because I think I would be a terrible actress. Still, I haven’t lost my fascination with actors and actresses, and how they are able to portray such different characters depending on what role they have in a particular movie. It’s led me to often wonder who would portray me if there was a movie made about my life1. Every time I’ve thought about it, I’ve tried to pick someone that resembles me not only in looks, but also in personality. It also had to be an actress I liked and/or admired, for why would I pick someone I didn’t like to play me in a movie?
My answer has changed from time to time, but I think I’ve finally settled on who I would like to play me in a movie version of my life. My actress of choice is Rachel Bilson. I think she’s a gorgeous person, inside and out, and she’s also fantastically talented and a really great person. I’m not saying that I’m all the things that I think Rachel are, but it’s nice to dream that someone I admire would play me in a movie, if the chance arose. I love Rachel in everything I’ve seen her in, and I think she would add a little extra quirkiness and kindness in a movie of my life. Physically, Rachel and I look a little similar, although of course she’s far more beautiful than I will ever be.
Question of the Week: If you could pick anyone to play you in a movie of your life, who would it be and why?
- I’m not advocating my life being made into a movie. I think it would be a terribly boring one! [↩]
